Wow, summer is flying by. I hope that you all have

September is Back To School month and I am joining
in. In early September, I will be doing my training to
become an Infant Massage Instructor. See below for

A Holistic Alternative to the Baby Shower
A baby shower is a great way to celebrate a new
baby. In American culture, a baby shower is a ritual
of pregnancy. It's an opportunity to gather together
to share knowledge, give gifts, play games, eat, and
welcome the baby.
Many women are choosing to have a different kind of
baby shower called a Blessingway. A Blessingway
differs from a baby shower because its focus is the
mother-to-be. The main goal is to provide support,
reflection, and celebration for the mother-to-be as
she prepares for the sacred rite of passage of
childbirth and motherhood.
At a Blessingway, the mother-to-be is pampered,
honored, and adorned by the women in attendance.
Activities at a Blessingway might include
meditation/song, belly painting/casting, massage,
footbaths, and feasting. Gifts are given in the spirit
of empowering the mother-to-be. Some examples
are talismans, birth pouches, affirmations, poems,
elements from nature, etc. These gifts show that
the mother-to-be is
surrounded by the strength and blessings of the
women in her life.

Thu, Fri & Sat @ 11:00am – 12:00pm
You may attend any day - 1 day, 2 days or all 3!
This course is offered for free as part of the Infant
Massage Educator Certification Training program with
Infant Massage USA. Parents will learn how to
massage their infants in a warm & compassionate
environment. Only parents massage their babies.
Parents will be helping students earn their
certification as Parent Educators of Infant Massage.
Parents receive natural & edible grapeseed oil.
Parents & families will also have the opportunity to
continue the class with a local student who, for
his/her certification process, must work with a
minimum of 5 families.
